Erfan Khalaji

I'm an AI scientist with a background in software and computer engineering, passionate about using AI to solve real-world challenges.

 

I started with a BSc in Software Engineering at Arak University, where I built a solid foundation in modern software design. Later, I earned a Master’s in Computer Engineering at ODTÜ, researching high-functioning autism detection using eye tracking and human-computer interaction. That got me hooked on psychology, and I’ve been diving into it ever since, understanding how both humans and animals think and behave fascinates me and shapes the way I see AI.

 

I moved to Canada to apply AI where it truly matters. I believe we have a responsibility to protect our planet, and not just for ourselves, but for all living beings. Right now, I work at a precision agriculture company, using remote sensing data to automate precision farming and make agriculture smarter and more sustainable.

 

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time hiking, birdwatching, and doing photography. When I’m not in nature, I’m probably playing basketball, chess, or computer games. I love meeting new people, so feel free to reach out. Let’s chat!
